OUR BELIEFS

The Bible

The Bible is God’s word. It is accurate, authoritative and relevant to our everyday lives.

God

There is only one true God the creator of all things, revealed in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are one God having precisely the same nature, attributes, perfections, and are all worthy of worship, confidence and obedience.

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ as both God and Man is the only one who can reconcile us to God. He lived a sinless and exemplary life, died on the cross in our place and rose again to restore us into fellowship with God and to give us a new and abundant life.

Holy Spirit

Fully God, His presence assures us of our relationship with Jesus Christ. He guides believers to all truth and helps mature us into Christ-likeness by producing the fruit of His spirit in our lives. He comforts us, guides us, and empowers us through spiritual gifts.

Man

Man is made in the image of God and is the supreme object of His creation, but through sinful disobedience became separated from God and His purpose for our lives. Man’s only hope to be restored into fellowship with God is through His son Jesus Christ.

Salvation

We are saved by grace (which is undeserved and unearned) through faith in Jesus Christ, His death, burial and resurrection. Salvation is a gift from God, not a result of our good works or of any human effort.

Baptism/Infilling of the Holy Spirit

Initiated at Pentecost, this ongoing baptism (infilling) is the promise of the Father, given by Jesus after His ascension to empower the church to supernaturally communicate the gospel to the ends of the earth. With this regular infilling, the believer has the potential of experiencing various manifestations such as scripturally based prophetic experiences, unknown tongues and other visible outward signs.

Sanctification

Sanctification initially occurs at salvation and is not only a declaration that a believer is holy through grace, but also a lifelong process of being set apart for God to complete the development of Christ’s character in us.

The Church

‘The Church’ is the Body of Christ and consists of the people who, throughout time, have accepted God’s offer of redemption (regardless of religious denomination) through the sacrificial death of His son Jesus Christ, with the purpose of “SAVING the LOST and DISCIPLING the SAVED.”

The Ministry

A divinely called and scripturally ordained leadership ministry leads and equips the Church to fulfill its purpose. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers and to build up or edify the body of believers known as the Church.

Ordinances

The two scriptural ordinances of the New Testament church are Water Baptism and Communion. We follow our Lord’s command to give public evidence of our salvation through Baptism by immersion and faithfully remembering Christ’s redeeming blood and broken body with the elements of Holy Communion.

Divine Healing

Divine Healing of the sick is illustrated in the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and is included in the great commission. Healing is a provision of Christ’s atonement on the cross and is a privilege for all believers.

The Blessed Hope

One day all believers in Christ will be physically resurrected in glorified bodies to their reward which is to live eternally in His presence.

The Second Coming

Jesus Christ will physically and visibly return to the earth for the second time to eternally establish His kingdom and He and His saints will reign on the earth for one thousand years.

The Final Judgement

Our eternal destination being either heaven or hell is determined by our response to the Lord Jesus Christ here on earth. A final judgment will take place for those who have rejected Christ. They will be judged for their sin and consigned to eternal punishment in hell.

Heaven

Heaven will be the eternal dwelling place for those who have confessed and believed that Jesus Christ is Lord!

OUR VALUES

Honor

We believe life flows through honor; we honor God, our leadership and each other. Honor creates an atmosphere for the supernatural.

Generosity

We believe in being generous with our time, talents and resources. He who gives sparingly will reap sparingly but he who gives generously will reap generously (2 Cor. 9:6).

Excellence

We strive to give God excellence in everything we do.

Serving

We believe serving is at the heart of Christ’s mission. We will serve God, our church and our community.

Relevant (creative and innovative)

We believe that effectiveness is more important than tradition, therefore we embrace change to make an impact. We serve a creative God; we will utilize creativity and innovation to present the message of the Kingdom in a practical way to all generations. “In the beginning God CREATED…”.
